Today on our 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, you're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to show you how to install, the Konig Self-Tensioning Low-Pro Snow Tire Chains.This is what our chains look like when they're installed. What's going to set these apart from others is you're going to have a diamond-pattern design to give you more tire coverage than your standard ladder-pattern or V-pattern style.We're going to have D-link style chains. Each link has two flat surfaces to give you more surface-to-surface contact between the chain and the roadway, and it's going to allow the chain to wear more evenly. As you'll notice, the center of our tire here, we're going to have extra links over our chains. This is going to provide us with great traction when we're turning corners. The diamond-pattern design not only gives us more tire coverage, but it's also going to provide us with a much smoother ride.The gray chain here is going to have a coating on it so it's not cold to the touch. more

The cable style chains make for good traction in light snow and the ladder pattern helps with effective starts and stops. The rollers are made out of a low carbon steel so they are strong and durable. These chains are SAE class S rated for vehicles with restricted wheel well clearance and have a maximum speed rating of thirty miles per hour. Now that we've gone over some features we are going to show you how to get this installed. We've gone ahead and laid out the tire chain just to make sure we don't have any kinks or breaks in the lines. We'll drape our chain over our tire, to start off and we'll just adjust our chain around our tire. Now we'll head to the back, and adjust it, and connect the back. We're here behind our tire and we're going to take this end here and connect it to the opposite end. more
